Wind Turbine Project for Physics Class

Our physics teacher assigned the whole class a project of making a wind turbine that will eventually get built by us and he will use it outside his house to power something like heat or air conditioning. We were all split into groups according to our designs, so me and my whole group chose to do a vertical wind turbine. To propose this idea to the group we had to create a powerpoint, and since everybody was doing the same type of presentation, I wanted to make ours stand out and so I did after. In the powerpoint, I included sketches of the turbine I made on our tablets from our technological class and also in our presentation we also included renderings of the 3D design of our wind turbine we made in SolidWorks. So showing all those sketches and renderings gave our presentation a huge boost and also intrigued the audience alot.

This is the presentation for our wind turbine project:

Wind Turbine Re-design

After doing more research on the wind turbine, our group came to the conclusion that our turbine blades design had to be changed to make it more budget friendly. So after we came to a conclusion of which design to do, we made a small proto-type of the wind turbine from Vex(refer to the Robotic's tab on information about Vex) parts. I also decided to use my SolidWorks skills to make a 3D model of the wind turbine as well. Below a photo of the proto-type of the turbine and renders of the 3D model made on SolidWorks:
